Ashley Shafer Receives 2025 Virginia Tech ‘Supervisor of the Year’ Award

FAIRFAX, Va. – May 12, 2025 — Reinventing Geospatial (RGi) Software Engineer Ashley Shafer has been officially recognized as ‘Supervisor of the Year’ by Virginia Tech’s Cooperative Education and Internship Program (CEIP).

Shafer was nominated for the prestigious award by Deepika Reddy, a current Virginia Tech student and intern under her guidance at RGi. The student-led nomination highlighted Shafer’s exceptional mentorship, dedication to professional development, and commitment to creating an inclusive, supportive workplace culture.

The ‘Supervisor of the Year’ award celebrates leaders who go above and beyond to foster the growth of the next generation of professionals.
